All of our sessions will start with a meditative exercise, some breathwork and a gentle warm up which will then lead us into the physical asanas (poses). Depending on the style of yoga you have chosen, these will vary in intensity and speed. The classes are sequenced to help us facilitate a powerful physical, mental and spiritual transformation. Each class will have its own theme, whether that be a chakra, an element, a physical area of the body i.e., hips, chest, core etc, or a mood / feeling we are trying to achieve.
Carmel’s classes are based around finding your own yoga. Connecting the movement with our breath. Breathing our way into a stretch and feeling good about it. We have so much pressure and rush in our daily lives, it’s good to spend an hour slowing down and honouring our bodies. Giving them what they need. Mainly floor based with bolsters, cushions and straps to help us get the maximum stretch with zero pain.

I have been practicing Yoga for over 10 years and teaching for over 2 years now. I originally found Yoga at the age of 14, and for many years practiced weekly Vinyasa classes. Yoga saw me through my teenage years, and well into my adulthood.
I completed my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with FRYOG in November 2020, and I was lucky enough to train with the most wonderful teacher, Debbie, whose classes I attended for about 6 magical years. During training we are also assisted by an experienced Osteopath, Mike, whose expertise assisted the understanding of the benefits of Yoga for the physical body.

After a Yoga Teacher apprenticeship with Jim Gough I have been a recognised Yoga teacher through the Independent Yoga Network since 2009. Since becoming a mother in 2008 I have more focused using Yoga to nourish both parent and child.
I continue my studies of Yoga, pre-natal education, child development among many things.
